Scaled Up Fish Limited began as a one-man operation in 2016, serving a small number of local caterers. For the first four years, Danny ran the business alone, building strong relationships through reliability, honesty, and consistently high-quality produce.
When Covid impacted the catering industry, it brought huge challenges. However, as trade reopened, demand increased. This growth allowed the business to expand, take on staff, and serve more customers than ever before, all while maintaining the same personal service.

Keeping Lowestoft’s Fishing Heritage Alive
Lowestoft was once a thriving fishing town, famous for its trawler fleets and fish processing industry. Over the years, that industry declined, leaving very few traditional fish merchants behind. Today, Scaled Up Fish Limited is proud to be one of the last remaining in the area.
Our cutting contracts with Crystal Waters Ltd, producing kippers and mackerel, help preserve traditional skills that once defined the town. By training staff and maintaining high standards, we continue to protect a trade that helped shape Lowestoft’s history.
